Pleasant greetings. This is Gift Tarupiwa and it’s my trust that you’re doing well. Through sharing the learning I get from my experience in life, I am committed to inspiring you into becoming the best version of yourself.

Because we share many goals in our getting to spend our respective lives, it’s natural for us to compare our achievements to others’. For instance, when our peers get married, buy houses before we do or have privileges to do things we only dream of doing, we tend to see ourselves as incompetent and outclassed. This then drives us into doing all we can to catch up with them. In so doing, we end up being envious, restless, frustrated and discontent. The most tragic outcome of such a situation is our getting to lose focus on our life purposes and destinies.

Having taken the time to study this common occurrence, I managed to identify the underlying causes thereof. Hence I will with the aid of this writing share them with you. Our getting to compete with each other emanates from being pressured by the illusional perspectives instilled in us by our life experiences. Simply put, our unfounded understanding of life gives us unnecessary pressure to catch up with what others are doing and achieving. Our peers’ getting married before us doesn’t necessarily mean they are more successful than us. This is because though we are living at the same time, our life journeys differ.

Based on this immovable reality, there’s no ground whatsoever for us to fairly compete with each other. Upon understanding the influence of illusional pressure on our thoughts and actions, we will be best placed to comfortably witness others succeeding in their lives without being intimidated and distracted from succeeding in our respective lanes and at own our paces. The true definition of a person’s success is how much of their purpose they fulfil before leaving earth. For that reason, the only remedy for withstanding the illusional pressure from other people’s achievements is to embrace your uniqueness, discover and commit to your purpose.

Your purpose is one thing you don’t want to fail to discover as you deplete your lifetime. Purpose is the reason behind the existence and functions of something. As a matter of fact, there is a special purpose for everything that exists. However, In this case, my elaboration is only in the context of mankind’s purpose. Having been exposed to many experiences from my childhood up to this point, I have the basis to conclude that the awareness of one’s life purpose is the bedrock of leading a successful and fulfilling life. Ignorance of our life purposes entails misery, regret, worry, anxiety, incompleteness, low self-esteem, poverty, and all sorts of chaotic things.

I have seen many people running around to no avail because of not having a definite purpose on which to exert their potential and efforts. All our actions are in vain and meaningless unless they are made in the perimeters of a definite purpose. Yes, life is indeed meaningless. It is only the discovery and fulfilment of our purposes that bring meaning to life. Without knowing why you’re here life is not worth living. The repercussions of living outside the lanes of our purposes are too great a burden for us to bear.  We just got to do all we can to discover and fulfil our respective purposes.

The discovery of purpose is a result of reaching the height of self-awareness. The more you know yourself is the more you’ll understand the reason for your existence. In a sense, purpose serves as a Global Positioning System(GPS), that guides one to their desired destiny. Failure to have the awareness of what makes up the person in you makes you susceptible to being influenced by other people or circumstantial pressure.

It’s so lamentable how a remarkable number of people live their entire lives without ever knowing the reason for their existence. Being touched to the core by this reality, I was moved to share my experiential understanding of the topic at hand. In so doing I aim to help someone to figure out what their purpose is. One thing is for sure, one’s purpose is not created but rather discovered. Way before you came into existence the purpose for your life was already there. In other words, you wouldn’t have seen this world if there was no purpose for your existence. As you are reading this you may be asking yourself how you can discover it.

This is quite a confronting question if you still don’t have any idea how to go about it. Because of that, I have taken the time to write this article out of the commitment to give you insights through which you can get to know why you’re here. What you are here to do may not be what you nor your family expect you to do. Living outside the perimeters of your purpose will set you up for a life of hard work and toiling. Purposeful living doesn’t only give you unprecedented success but also joy and fulfilment. Happiness and fulfilment are the most expensive things in this life. This is because they both can not be bought at any price less than purposeful living. There are a lot of people who are very rich and yet so unhappy and unfulfilled.

Your purpose is hidden in your natural gifts. In every person is the seed for whatever they would want to be and have in life. That seed is their natural gift. A gift is something you are good at and enjoy doing. Utilizing your gift will often direct you to your purpose. By being aware of yourself you will see yourself as if through other people’s eyes. At this point, all your strengths and weaknesses are laid bare to your understanding and you will have the power to use this knowledge to discover what your purpose is.

So then the discovery of purpose is in the awareness of oneself. Self-awareness breeds self-confidence, which then becomes the driving force towards self-actualization. To become aware of yourself you got to understand that you’re not your body nor are the thoughts in your mind yours. Rather you’re a spirit with a soul living in a body. This will position you as an observer in your mind and body hence raising your self-awareness. I firmly believe in your ability to do great things in this life. All you have to do is to discover your purpose and live a life full of happiness and fulfilment. This way, you will rise above the level of being intimidated and distracted by other people’s success.

Well, I trust this information is a push-forward inspiration that has left you a step further on your journey to the farthest point of self-development and actualization.
